We are seeing USCIS receipt numbers come in with the IOE letters at the beginning of the number. Previously, the three letters at the beginning of a receipt number identified the service center at which the corresponding case was being adjudicated at. USCIS has clarified that the IOE for now is being used with Form I-129.
USCIS recently expanded electronic adjudication of Form I-129 H-1B, and certain H-1B filings will now be assigned IOE receipt numbers. The H-1B adjudication, continues to be completed at the service center it was filed at.The Service Center that is adjudicating the petition is clearly indicated at the bottom the receipt notice, even when an IOE receipt number is assigned.
From what USCIS has stated, there have been no changes to the USCIS adjudicative procedures or available services for Form I-129 petitions.
Naya Immigration will closely monitor these changes, please check back for more updates.
